Winter Literacy Centers

Hey friends! I’m back so soon…so not like usual 🙂  I wanted to share with you my new winter literacy centers!  I know a lot of you like the math & literacy center bundles.  However, in my classroom I don’t do the fun themed math centers 🙁  I know meanie here!  We work on more skill based centers that surround what we are currently working.  So, anyway that’s why I am not offering math centers in these packets!  Better for you though I get to spend extra quality time on the literacy centers!  Below is a quick preview of the packet and then I go into detail for each activity!  See below for a special deal on this packet! 🙂  Also, be sure you are following me on Facebook as I like to do quick giveaways on new products!  *hint, hint!

Winter Literacy Centers {pack of 5 activities}:

These fun and engaging centers will keep your little ones busy through the winter! Use for literacy centers/work work buckets. These activities are simply print, laminate, cut, and learn! Each activity will included any necessary pieces and recording sheets.

Activities Included:

Snowball Lineup: Sight word recognition- look, like, what, with, my, me, you & recording sheet. Students will pull a sight word card, then build the word using the snowballs.  Students will then record their answers on the sheet.

Magical Snowflake “e”/silent e: 12 cards included & recording sheet.  Students will use a dry erase marker to write in the missing sounds, the silent/magic/bossy e will go inside the snowflake.  Students will record their answers on the sheet.

Digraph Penguins: sh, th, ch- 12 cards included & recording sheet.  Students will sort the penguin cards onto the correct digraph board.  Students will then record their answers.  I like to write the word on the back of each digraph so students can reference that when recording their answers.

Final Sound Mittens:12 mitten cards & recording sheet.  Students will pull a mitten card, listen closely to the middle sound and record their answers according to the final sound.

CVC Snowman Match ups: 10 cards & recording sheet. Students will match the snowman word to the snowman hat.  Students will then record their answers on the sheet.
