The Number Sense In-a-Click program by Tara West at Little Minds at Work is a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate approach to building early numeracy skills through explicit instruction, hands-on application, and visual representations. Spanning seven full modules, the program guides students through foundational number work—beginning with Numbers 0–5 and progressing through key concepts such as counting to 10, ordering numbers, comparing sets, composing and decomposing numbers, building numbers 11–19, mastering numbers 20–30, and extending into more rigorous skills in the bonus Module 7.
Each 25-day module follows a consistent three-part lesson structure: a Number Sense Warm-Up using the provided Number Sense Mat, a Skill Introduction (I Do) with concrete modeling and guided math talk, and a Skill Application (We Do / You Do) using the Skill Application Mat. Teachers are supported with 25 detailed lesson plans, 5 rotating Number Sense Mats, 5 Skill Application Mats, and 25 coordinating student printables per module. Lessons are structured to be visual-first and concept-rich, integrating tools such as fingers, dice, cubes, dominoes, ten frames, base ten blocks, and number paths to promote deep understanding.
The program is flexible and designed for whole group, small group, intervention, or independent work. It requires minimal prep—just print or project and go. No cutting is required. Simply add a dry-erase marker and a manipulative of choice, and you’re ready to teach. Whether you’re introducing early counting or extending into teen and twenty numbers, Number Sense In-a-Click is your one-stop, grab-and-go solution for building confident, fluent young mathematicians through structured, joyful, and research-aligned instruction.

This bundle is perfect for Kindergarten. It's got everything I was hoping for, and then some! Thank you!
I purchased this as soon as it was released! This is a great resource for either small group or whole class teaching. I use it in my tk class and love how I can flip to use it to whatever lesson I'm on in my districts expectation.
These lessons will help me have more meaningful small math group time for those that could use more practice with concepts.
Love this resource, makes small group math lessons very streamlined and it is easy for a paraprofessional to help with.
As soon as I saw this, I knew I had to purchase. I love everything Tara West creates and can’t wait to use this. So easy and no prep needed!
This resource makes it so easy to differentiate between my grade levels. I use it for students in my k-2 resource class, but it can definitely be used in the general education class as well. It keeps the attention of my students.
I am really enjoying how compact these lessons are. I am going into my first year of teaching Kindergarten and I feel really confident about this because it has such a clean and easy to follow layout.
This bundle is perfect for building number sense in first grade. I love the lesson plan format, the work mats for each lesson and the sequence of skills! Thank you!
